GRAND RAPIDS — Lee Trevino, arguably one of golf’s favorite ambassadors, has committed to play in this year’s Farmers Charity Classic at Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, May 31 through June 6.

Known for his ongoing banter with competitors and gallery members alike, Trevino, with his 29 Champions Tour victories and 29 PGA Tour victories, is a Grand Rapids favorite.

In addition to Trevino, J.C. Snead will return to Ada, as will Bruce Fleisher. Snead, with eight PGA Tour victories and four Champions Tour victories and Fleisher, with 16 Champions Tour victories since 1999, will provide stiff competition for Trevino and the other 78 golfers competing throughout the week.

Wayne Levi, a relative newcomer to the Champions Tour (2002) and the owner of 12 PGA Tour titles, will provide a strong challenge to the tour veterans as evidenced by his fourth-place finish in the 2002 Farmers Charity Classic. Dana Quigley, Allen Doyle and Bruce Summerhays round out a strong roster of those players already committed to play in this year’s Farmers Charity Classic.
