CB Richard Ellis/Grand Rapids  has announced the sale of a 0.9-acre site located near the Michigan Street “Medical Mile.”

The 103-space parking lot owned by Bethlehem Lutheran Church was purchased by Grand Valley State University. GVSU plans to use the site for parking, in support of its $57 million Center for Health Sciences, completed in 2003.

“This transaction is a winning solution for both Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Grand Valley State,” said Edward Mikolay, senior associate of CBRE Life Sciences Group and Office Advisors. “For the church, it is the final piece of a multi-phase relocation process, and GVSU has acquired a strategic piece of real estate on the Hill that will provide needed parking for the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences.”

Jay Schrimpf, pastor of the Bethlehem Church, said the church has relocated to the Heartside Business District of downtown, at 250 Commerce Ave. SW. HQX
