HOLLAND — LeanLogistics has been named by Corp! Magazine as one of “Michigan’s Economic Bright Spots.” This first annual award recognizes the top companies in the state that have had significant growth or expansion, are involved in emerging markets, or have made conscious efforts to remain in Michigan. LeanLogistics was one of only 36 companies in the state to make the “Bright Spots” list.

According to Corp! Magazine, LeanLogistics was selected because of its rapid growth and solid revenues.

LeanLogistics provides on-demand transportation management systems that plan, manage and execute transportation operations and strategies for companies such as Ace Hardware, Barilla Pasta, Kellogg’s, Pinnacle Foods, Rich Products and Unilever. The company operates as a division of CHEP. It employs 75 people currently and plans to hire at the rate of about 50 new people a year.

Last year LeanLogistics received awards as a Top technology Provider from Food Logistics, Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Inbound Logistics magazines.

“Our solid growth record and consistent success can be directly attributed to our dedicated team of employees with a passion for customer satisfaction,” said Dan Dershem, DEO and president of LeanLogistics.

Dershem and Chris Timmer, vice president of customer solutions at LeanLogistics, accepted the award this morning at the Michigan Bright Spots Award Breakfast in Troy.
