Duthler Named New GROW Executive Director
GRAND RAPIDS — Patricia Duthler, former CEO and Dealer Principal of Duthler Automotive Group, is the newly appointed executive director for GROW (Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women). Duthler succeeds Rita VanderVen, who retired from the position in March.
“Patricia’s professional background, nonprofit experience and educational credentials are well suited to GROW, an organization that serves women entrepreneurs,” said Carleen Crawford, GROW board president, in a news release.
“Since its inception, GROW has transformed the lives of its female constituents for the ultimate betterment of the community,” Duthler said. “With a solid track record behind it, GROW is poised to become a major catalyst for self-sufficiency and economic development in West Michigan. I look forward to contributing to the organization’s growth and success.”
Duthler most recently served as senior consultant with Greystone Global of Chicago, where she advised organizational leaders on strategic change management. She is CEO and dealer principal for Duthler Truck Center, with oversight of multi-million dollar sales and inventory and employees at two heavy-truck franchises. She was president and dealer principal with Duthler Automotive Group of Grand Rapids from 1988 until the sale of the dealership in 2005. In addition to her for-profit sector experience, Duthler has worked in the nonprofit world for many years and has been active in many civic and charitable organizations as a volunteer and board member.
