JENISON — Lake Michigan Credit Union will break ground this summer on its 22nd branch office.

The new branch is going up on the corner of Cottonwood Drive and Chicago Drive in Jenison, just east of I-196.

“Our members have been asking us to open a branch in Jenison. It’s one of our most requested locations. We are delighted to be able to accommodate members and neighbors in the area,” said Julie Blitchok, senior vice president of operations and marketing for LMCU.

The 3,600-square-foot branch will have six teller areas, four offices, three drive-through lanes and a 24-hour ATM.

Banking, mortgages, loans, investing and insurance services will be offered at the branch.

“Our branch will be modeled from our most recent design on the Medical Mile,” said Blitchok on the Michigan Street office that is expected to open later this summer. “We are also taking advantage of the green space on the site, creating an attractive, open look and feel.”

Lott3Metz Architecture designed the Jenison branch, which should be open for business late this year.

LMCU, ranked as sixth in deposit market share in West Michigan, serves more than 127,000 members and has assets of over $1.3 billion.
