Downtown development agency invites ideas at Brew and Do night
Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Kristopher Larson called two upcoming gatherings “back of the napkin city building."
The DDA will hold two “Brew and Do” sessions on Wednesday evening at The Pyramid Scheme, 68 Commerce Ave. SW, to collect input from the public on what they’d like to see happen with the board’s South Arena Area Visioning plan.
The first session will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with the second going from 8-10 p.m.
The DDA is searching for ideas on how to further develop downtown from the Van Andel Arena south to the new Downtown Market near Wealthy Street, which is set to fully open in July.
Reservations aren’t necessary and more information is available by calling DDA Development Project Manager Tim Kelly at 456-3797 or by e-mailing him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cornerstone Architects is leading a design team for the project that includes the VIRDIS Design Group and Williams & Works.
The theme of the Brew and Do sessions is “we bring the materials, you bring the inspiration.”
