National chain delivers 'pizza theater' store to Grand Rapids
A national pizza chain is bringing a new store-design concept to Grand Rapids.
On July 24, Domino’s Pizza franchisee Ron Asmar plans to open a new store on the city's south side, at 1025 South Division Ave., between Hall and Franklin streets.
Domino's said the store will be one of the first in the state with a "pizza theater" design, allowing for flexibility and features "otherwise unheard of when it comes to the 'traditional' Domino’s store."
Domino's customers will notice the new store's different look: a lobby, open-area viewing of the food-preparation process, the ability to track carryout orders electronically in a lobby screen, chalkboards for customers to express their creativity or leave feedback for store team members — and a drive-thru for call ahead and pick-up orders.
“Domino’s continues to reinvest and reinvent the image we portray to our customers,” Asmar said. “We are excited to be able to bring this new image to Grand Rapids.”
The store will host a family friendly grand-opening celebration, featuring a bounce house, face painting and clowns. The store also will be offering special pricing July 24-25.
The new Domino’s, which offers delivery and pickup, will be open 10 a.m.-1 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m.-3 a.m., Friday and Saturday. Its menu will be similar to other Domino stores.
“We are dedicated to the Grand Rapids area and are excited about the opportunity to serve its residents,” Asmar said. “Our goal is to continue to develop a loyal customer following by delivering hot, great-tasting pizza at a great price.”
