DOWAGIAC — A 21-year-old Wayne Township man faces multiple charges in connection with the theft of scrap metal from a southwest Michigan industrial park.

Cass County officials say Michael Reeves was arraigned last week on conspiracy, larceny, stolen property and malicious destruction of property charges.

Reeves was arrested early last Friday morning in Dowagiac, south of Grand Rapids, after police stopped a car loaded with scrap metal.

He was being held on a $10,000 bond in the Cass County Jail.

A warrant has been issued for a second suspect.
