A Grand Rapids-based communications firm has been recognized as the nation's 2013 Financial Agency of the Year.

Lambert, Edwards & Associates won the award as part of the Bulldog Stars of PR Awards.

Winners were chosen exclusively by members of the media from hundreds of entries representing strategic and tactical campaigns in public relations, corporate communications and investor relations.

Campaigns were judged on the basis of their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility, influence opinion and achieve a business outcome, as well as on industry leadership, creativity and tenacity.

Investor relations work

Lambert, Edwards & Associates was selected for the Financial Agency of the Year award based on its series of successful investor relations and financial communications campaigns.

The programs encompassed public company work across industries and market capitalizations and included transaction communications for multiple billion-dollar mergers and acquisitions, as well as the formation of one of the nation's first equity crowdfunding platforms,

LE&A also directed communications for multiple IPOs, equity offerings and private equity funds, along with their portfolio companies.

LE&A’s IR team members have experience in financial communications, corporate and investment banking and sell-side analyst experience, said Jeff Lambert, president and managing partner of LE&A.

"This unusual hybrid of professional expertise, coupled with our strength in PR and corporate communications, makes us a dual threat, and we're honored to be recognized for it,” Lambert said. “Most importantly, we share this recognition with our clients, who give us the opportunity to be part of their team and impact their business."
