Grand Rapids Community College, or GRCC, founded in 1914, offers degree courses, certification and training programs, workshops and personal enrichment classes in Kent and Ottawa counties.

The West Michigan Construction Summit is back on Thursday.

The second-annual event — which gives skilled-trades suppliers the opportunity to network with buyers and project managers — will be held from 2-5 p.m. at Grand Rapids Community College’s Sneden Hall.

The summit’s organizers said that facilities managers and representatives from organizations throughout the region will be at the event: Pfizer, Chemical Bank, Fifth Third Bank, Bronson Healthcare, CSM Group, city of Grand Rapids, Kent County, SpartanNash, Kellogg Company and GRCC.

Professionals from trades across the industry will be at the event: masonry, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, flooring, carpentry and more.

The summit will also feature resources from organizations such as MDOT and GROW.

Parking will be available in the Fountain Street student lot, across from Central High School, and passes will be provided.

People can still register for the event online.
