Two lakeshore beverage companies have teamed up for a Colonial-era treat.

Coppercraft Distillery in Holland said today that it has released its Applejack apple brandy.

The spirit is a distilled hard-apple cider, provided by Virtue Cider in Fennville.

The distilled beverage has 32 varieties of Michigan apples, with notes of vanilla and butterscotch from the barrel aging.

Coppercraft's Applejack will be available at retailers, bars and restaurants in Michigan and Chicago.

“Our Applejack is completely unique,” said Walter Catton III, owner and co-founder, Coppercraft Distillery. “It is made using multiple varieties of Michigan apples and is distilled and barrel aged here in our distillery. We hope people enjoy tasting our Applejack as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
