Auto supplier invests $7.3M in expansion, 198 jobs
A supplier of components and systems for auto interiors is planning an expansion at multiple sties in the region that will create 198 jobs.

Summit Polymers will invest nearly $7.3 million to expand its existing operations in Portage and Vicksburg in Kalamazoo County and Sturgis in St. Joseph County.
The company currently employs 1,183 employees in Michigan.
Summit Polymers was founded in 1972 and is a tier-1 supplier of kinetic and decorative parts for automotive interiors: finish panels, A/C registers, glove boxes, cup holders, steer coverings and more.
The company operates nine manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Mexico and China.
Summit Polymers will receive an $800,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant for its expansion.
The communities where Summit will expand have also offered support to the project in the form of property tax abatements.
