Ice cream maker rolls out all-natural flavors
An ice cream maker is introducing a new line of flavors made with all-natural ingredients.
On Earth Day yesterday, Hudsonville Ice Cream in Holland said that it has launched its Naturals line, which features four flavors: Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, Strawberry and Chocolate Cocoa Bean.
The all-natural line of flavors will be part of Hudsonville’s All Season portfolio and be branded in green packaging.
Hudsonville noted the all-natural line “focuses on a clean ingredient label, using only simple and natural ingredients.”
The Naturals line features ingredients such as milk, cream, cane sugar, strawberries, vanilla, organic cocoa and more.
Hudsonville Ice Cream said no artificial colors or flavors are used in Naturals, and cane sugar makes the Naturals line sweet, not corn syrup or high-fructose corn syrup.
Like the company's other products, the all-natural line is produced with milk that doesn't contain the growth hormone rBST, or recombinant bovine somatotropin.
The comapny also said its milk is transported from local farms less than an hour away.
Hudsonville Ice Cream partners with family owned and operated dairy farms of the Michigan Milk Producers Association to “ensure the milk and cream used in Naturals is as fresh as possible,” said Raymond Sierengowski, director of product development, Hudsonville Ice Cream.
Vanilla Bean: Created for “those who cannot get enough of the great taste of vanilla” and for “the most-discerning palette.”
Salted Caramel: Natural ingredients in the ice cream blend to produce a pure salted-caramel flavor that "only nature can deliver.”
Strawberry: The traditional handcrafted flavor is “bursting" with real strawberry flavors and colors.
Chocolate Cocoa Bean: Made with organically processed cocoa.
