Craft TV network appoints US president
A U.K.-based 24-hour arts and crafts TV network has named the president of its locally based U.S. operation.
Craft Retail Group, part of Ideal Shopping Direct, said this week that Ray Shelgosh has been named to the leadership role for Grand Rapids-based Create and Craft USA.
For the past nine years, Shelgosh has been leading sales and business development at Grand Rapids-based Notions Marketing, an art supply distributor.
Previously, he was VP of global sales at Leisure Arts Publishing.
"I began my collaboration with Ideal Shopping some years ago, and since that time, I have always been enthusiastic about the incredible potential that their consumer strategies have in the U.S.,” Shelgosh said.
Shelgosh added that “joining their team and actually being a part of their journey in America is an exceptional opportunity” in a $30-billion crafting industry where digital and ecommerce are still in their “infancy.”
“I'm very excited about the future," he said.
