'Laid-back' footwear brand designs memory-foam shoes

A “laid-back” shoe brand known for its comfort has incorporated a new memory-foam feature into one of its lines.

Cushe Footwear, a division of Wolverine Worldwide in Rockford, has released its Kicks Collection for the 2015 spring/summer seaons, which includes the Cushe Mellow feature.

Featuring a "super spongy action" with memory foam, Cushe Mellow forms to the foot and stays supportive in "all the right places, all day long."

"Mellow is an evolution of Cushe comfort,” said Marshall Davis, global marketing manager, Cushe Footwear.

Cushe markets the Kicks Collection as "serious" shoes for the "not-so-serious athlete."

For women

For women, the Kicks Collection introduces the Shakra, which is marketed by the brand as shoes "for when you want to make life a bit more comfortable."

Featuring mesh with suede, or canvas with suede, and a variety of bright colors and patterns, the "super lightweight style" also comes with two sets of laces.

For men

For men, the Getaway from the Kicks Collection is marketed by the brand as being "ready for whatever happens next — even if what happens next is a whole lot of kickin' back.”

The shoes comes in various color and material combinations, ranging from military camo to blue chambray to black mesh.


Both shoes have an MSRP price of $75.

The Kicks Collection, along with Cushe's entire collection for spring/summer '15, is available in stores and online.
