Dealer acquires Chevy dealership
The ownership of a long-time West Michigan Chevrolet dealership is changing hands.
Fox in Caledonia
Fox Motors said this week that it has acquired Seif Chevrolet in Caledonia, at 632 E. Main St. SE, and the dealership will be re-branded as Fox Chevrolet.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited for the opportunity to become part of the Caledonia community and expand our West Michigan representation,” said Dan DeVos, owner and CEO, Fox Motors.
“The Seif family has worked hard for the community and customers, and we will continue to serve the community proudly. We are excited to show Caledonia the ‘Fox Difference.’”
Clare Harkema, former owner of Seif Chevrolet, said the deal was "a difficult decision for our family to make, as we have proudly served the Caledonia community for many years."
"I know that Dan’s team will be able to provide the same high level of customer service and care that our customers and community have come to expect," Harkema said. "I would like to thank everyone for their support and patronage over the past 45 years."
Fox Motors plans to invest in the dealership and add positions.
The Fox Chevrolet site features a new car showroom and a full-service parts and accessories department, as well as separate buildings for collision work and pre-owned vehicle sales.
The leadership at Fox Chevrolet includes Jerry Moore, division director, Jon Harkema, executive manager, and Bill Horvath, brand manager.
