Venues across West Michigan will host events as part of the Michigan Summer Games.

The Meijer State Games of Michigan Summer Games posted an online map of venues earlier this month. The venues are displayed as pins on the map, and people can click on the pin to see information on the venue.

The Opening Ceremony is June 25 at Fifth Third Ballpark. The tournament concludes June 28, with several sports taking place prior in June and also in August.

The Michigan Summer Games will feature 44 sports and 7,500 athletes.

Baseball and softball

Baseball and softball tournaments will be held at the Art Van Sports Complex in Plainfield Township. Girls fast-pitch softball will be held at Whistlestop park. Men's softball will be played at Huff Park. Co-ed softball will be held at Northview High School.

Martial arts

Byron Center West Middle School will house the karate competition. Tae kwon do will be held at Cornerstone University. The Kroc Center will host judo.


Shooting sports will take place at Caledonia Sportsman’s Club and Rockford Sportman’s Club. The Sparta Hunting & Fishing Club will host the 3D archery competition.


Cedar Chase Golf Club will host the golf tournament.


Cycling will be at Davenport University. Mountain biking will be held at Wahlfield Park in Comstock Park.

Extreme sports

The UltraFit Challenge will take place at CrossFit Grand Rapids. The Urban Downhill race will speed through downtown Grand Rapids. The Grand Haven Skate Park will host skateboarding and BMX freestyle. The BMX Olympic competition will be at Rock City BMX in Rockford. Waterskiing will be held at Millennium Park, with waterskiing also at Placid Wake Park in Allendale. Rowing will be held at Riverside Park.

East Kentwood

The 5k, youth and girls high school basketball, rugby, track and field, swimming, synchronized swimming and quad rugby will all be at East Kentwood High School.

Boys basketball

Boys high school basketball will be at GVSU Fieldhouse.


Women’s indoor volleyball will be held at The Courthouse Athletic Center in Byron Center, with The Score Restaurant & Sports Bar hosting beach volleyball.

Ice sports

The youth hockey tournament will play at Griff’s Icehouse, Walker Ice and Fitness Center and Georgetown Ice Center in Hudsonville. Southside Ice Arena will house the high school hockey tournament. Patterson Ice Center will play home to the figure skating competition.

MVP Fieldhouse

Girls lacrosse, pickle ball and soccer will be held at MVP Fieldhouse.

Racket sports

Hope College will host tennis. Badminton will be played at Lowell High School. Table tennis will be at Pinewood Elementary in Kentwood. Racquetball will be at Riverview Athletic Club.


Noto’s Old World Italian Dining will host bocce ball. Wedgewood Park will host horseshoes.

Byron Center’s Earle Brewer Park will play home to the cricket and disc golf tournaments.

Bowling will be held at Spectrum Lanes.

Rockford High School will house the FITA archery and boys lacrosse tournaments.

Lowell’s Grand River Riverfront Park will play home to the 7-on-7 football tournament.

Field hockey will play at Forest Hills Central High School.

Wyoming Junior High School will host wrestling.

Boxers will compete at St. Mary’s Activity Center.
