A distributor of cleaning products has expanded its Midwest footprint by entering the Cleveland market.

Norton Shores-based Nichols, which also distributes packaging and safety products, said today that it has opened a branch in the Northfield Center at 105 E. Aurora Rd. as part of its strategic plan to support continued growth and expansion.

The Cleveland branch will provide products, seminars and training events to the surrounding area.

Nichols also added four employees to its sales team to serve customers in the Cleveland region and support the company’s expansion plans: Howard Movshin, Jacki Fiocca, Tom Johnson and Larry Sollisch.

“We’re excited to expand our territory and bring additional resources to the Cleveland market,” said Hal Grossman, VP of sales and marketing, Nichols.

Kevin Rahrig, COO at Nichols, said the company has been interested in expanding to the Cleveland market since this spring.

“Our philosophy is really about developing more in the Great Lakes,” Rahrig said. “It is a natural opportunity for us.”

Nichols also has another Ohio branch in Bowling Green.

Nichols, founded in 1936, has eight locations across Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

The company provides a wide variety of cleaning, packaging and safety products for multiple industries: food processing; education, health care; hospitality and others.
