Rehabilitation company expands in Kansas
A local physical rehabilitation company is expanding its presence in the Kansas City market.
Grand Rapids-based Agility Health said this week that it has opened its second clinic in the greater Kansas City area.
The 2,800-square-foot outpatient rehabilitation clinic is located in the suburb of Prairie Village, Kansas.
The company said the clinic is the result of “demand driven by physical requests and community.”
Agility Health said it worked with Dan Lorenz, a sports medicine-trained physical therapist, on the clinic.
He has both a doctorate and master's degree in physical therapy and more than 10 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist.
His background is highlighted by two years as a staff athletic trainer and physical therapist for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.
Lorenz is a clinician, author, educator and presenter on topics in orthopedic and sports medicine, both locally and nationally.
"The new clinic is part of our growth plan,” said Steve Davidson, CEO, Agility Health.
The company is considering additional clinic openings, potential acquisitions and partnerships, particularly in areas where it already has a market presence.
Agility Health operates a multi-state network of outpatient and on-site rehabilitation clinics, provides contracted services to hospitals, nursing homes and other locations and offers practice management software.
