Brewery rolls out variety pack
Following a year of growth, a local is brewery is set to release a new package with a variety of its brews.
Perrin Brewing Co. will send a variety pack, Pack of Problems, into retail distribution on March 13.
The 12 pack of 12-ounce cans will include three varieties of Perrin IPAs: 98 Problems IPA; No Problems “A Session IPA”; and Lotsa’ Problems Imperial IPA.
The variety pack is the only way — besides at the brewery’s Comstock Park taproom — to obtain the Imperial IPA. The other two beers are available at retailers in six packs.
Perrin announced it’s sending beers to Colorado later this month for its first out-of-state distribution.
Colorado is home to Oskar Blues Brewery, which partnered with Perrin owner Keith Klopcic to purchase Perrin last year.
Perrin Brewing began canning last September, which played a part in the company growing 40 percent, with an output of 14,000 barrels. A barrel is about 31 gallons.
Klopcic said he expects the brewery to brew more than 25,000 barrels this year, with it possibly adding other states to its distribution footprint this year.
