Auto parts maker awards suppliers
A global supplier of automotive interiors honored its top suppliers during a ceremony held in Holland.
Shanghai-headquartered Yanfeng Automotive Interiors honored 20 of its suppliers at its Americas Supplier Performance Awards ceremony recently at its technical center in Holland.
Grand Rapids companies Kent Manufacturing Co. and Display Pack were among those honored, as well as nine other Michigan-based suppliers.
Kent Manufacturing received a Bronze Award and Display Pack was recognized with a Leadership Award.
The Supplier Performance Awards identify the company's top suppliers for distinction in the areas of quality, cost, logistics, development, technology and service.
“These awards recognize the outstanding hard work and dedication of our suppliers and their teams,” said Jim Bos, vice president of global procurement for Yanfeng Automotive Interiors.
Yanfeng Automotive Interiors is a leading supplier of instrument panels and cockpit systems, door panels, floor consoles and overhead consoles.
The company has more than 90 manufacturing and technical centers in 17 countries and employs more than 28,000 people globally.
Yanfeng Automotive Interiors is a joint venture between Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Huayu Automotive Systems Co. Ltd., the component group of SAIC Motor Corp. Limited, and Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company.
