IT firm makes acquisition
An IT firm in the area is expanding its presence into mid Michigan via acquisition.
Grandville-based Trivalent Group said today that it has acquired East Lansing-based KI Technology Group.
Trivalent also has offices in Battle Creek, Mount Pleasant and Traverse City.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Given KI’s many high-profile clients that span multiple sectors, this acquisition is an exciting development and a major step forward for our company,” said Larry Andrus, CEO, Trivalent Group. “It will further strengthen our customer service and expand our ability to provide innovative new services for our clients.”
Linda Lynch, president of KI Technology Group, said, “Technology companies like ours are critical for job creation.”
“And this acquisition is a win-win for our employees and customers across the mid-Michigan area,” Lynch said.
Trivalent Group, a cloud and managed services provider, has roots stretching back to 1971 and employs more than 80 full-time employees across the state.
The IT firm has more than 600 clients.

Founded in 1982 as KI Software Corporation, KI Technology Group has grown from a software developer into an IT services provider by adding staff, including a team of network technicians and launching a technical services division.
