Field-measurement startup expands operation
A startup maker of field-measurement software and hardware has outgrown its home and leased an entire floor in a downtown office building.
Modustri has leased the 6,300-square-foot sixth floor at 35 Oakes St. SW in Grand Rapids, according to NAI Wisinski of West Michigan yesterday.
The startup, which is launched in 2012, is moving from its nearby office on the ground floor of 38 Commerce Ave. SW.
Modustri's digital field-measurement tools are designed for the heavy equipment, transportation, infrastructure and energy industries.
The building’s landlord, Project 35, LLC, was represented by NAI brokers Mary Anne Wisinski-Rosely and Hillary Taatjes Woznick.
NorthStar Commercial’s Adam Vranian represented Modustri.
The 35 Oakes building is also home to the co-working space Blue35.
“We determined that they preferred to stay in Heartside, so we explored 35 Oakes, which is just across the street and provides all the amenities the company was looking for,” Wisinski-Rosely said.
