Bank builds West Michigan HQ
A bank that entered West Michigan in 2013 is building a new headquarters to better serve the region.
Old National Bank said yesterday that it will construct a two story, 19,700-square-foot modern building in Kalamazoo at the Corner@Drake development on the corner of Stadium Drive and S. Drake Road.
“We are absolutely bullish on southwest Michigan,” said Phil Harbert, regional president, Old National Bank. “This new building continues to show our support for the area, and it is continued reinforcement of the Old National commitment to the state of Michigan and the growth that it holds for our organization.”
The building will feature a bank and drive-thru on the first floor and executive offices on the second floor.
It will also feature a cyber café, fireplace and community room where nonprofit partners can hold meetings before, during and after business hours.
Old National Bank will begin construction on the facility on June 7, with a grand opening planned in early 2017.
Old National in West Michigan
With national headquarters in Evansville, Indiana, Old National Bank moved into the market through its acquisition of the southwest Michigan holdings of Bank of America.
The bank said that last year, its associates in West Michigan spent more than 3,800 hours volunteering with more than 120 community organizations.
