A construction firm in the region is expanding its work with a global health care company by more than 100 projects.

Elzinga & Volkers in Holland said yesterday that in the next 18 months, it will see an increase in work from Grifols, which works in blood banking and laboratory analysis, on 31 property locations and 78 Donor Doc locations.

Grifols’ Donor Doc locations are automated teller machines with privacy walls that help streamline donor processes, shortening wait times and making donating plasma easier.

Elzinga & Volkers' work will include new “major projects” for Grifols in various cities across the U.S., including new facilities and improvements, such as renovating existing facilities and remodeling vacant spaces.

Elzinga & Volkers said the developments will help add jobs to the communities and provide larger health facilities with more technology and shorter wait times.

The expansion of work with Grifols is in addition to the services Elzinga & Volkers already provides the company at 25 locations in the Midwest and Southwest.

“E&V continues to expand its service offerings and broaden our service expertise to new business markets and regions,” Elzinga & Volkers President and CEO Mike Novakoski said. “Our work with Grifols is a testament to our team and proves that we are equipped to handle major projects.”
