A downtown architecture firm has expanded in another floor in its building.

AMDG Architects will host an open house on June 29 for its new fourth-floor space in Grand Rapids at 25 Commerce Ave. SW. The firm also occupies the third floor.

The fourth floor encompasses 3,500 square feet and took three months to complete.

The cost of the expansion was not disclosed.

Dixon Interior Design’s Mary Dixon designed the space, and WPF’s Amy Zeboor designed the lighting.

Pioneer Construction was the general contractor on the project.

Kentwood Office Furniture and Custer supplied furniture, and Forged by Design provided custom furniture pieces.

“In the past year, as we considered expanding our work footprint due to growth, we set about to create space to change the trajectory of how we deliver on our mission,” the open house invitation says. “Our design intent was to improve how our team did our work, to foster even greater design collaboration with our clients, as well as provide necessary ‘other’ space for our team to breathe.”
