A firm in the area is planning to develop a new 216-home community in a Grand Rapids suburb.

Stony Bluff

Interra Homes of Wyoming announced yesterday its plans for the multi-phase Stony Bluff, a single-family home development in Lowell.

The firm said the site is “surrounded by woodlands,” and located off Foreman Street, west of Alden Nash Avenue.

The developer will offer a selection of six floor plans ranging from 1,556 to 2,206 square feet, and personalized finishes will be available.

Homes at Stony Bluff will start at about $230,000, and average lot sizes will be about a quarter of an acre.

The firm said reservations are available for property sites, and homes will be built as reservations are made.

Interra Homes also plans to have some move-in-ready models available.

Phased development

Plans for the first phase of Stony Bluff include 31 home sites, and a model home is scheduled to be completed next spring.

Plans for the total development include 216 sites over nine phases, according to Kelsey MacKenzie, marketing representative for Jim Tibbe Homes, a partner on the development. Wyoming-based Jim Tibbe Homes and Interra Homes are also partnering on projects in Byron Center and Allendale.

Phases of the development will be released as the market dictates, according to MacKenzie.
