A local employee recognition company is expecting to increase its revenue by 15 percent after acquiring an Ann Arbor-based firm.

Grand Rapids-based Terryberry said today that it has acquired Kelleher Enterprises, an employee recognition company.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is Terryberry’s third in the past two years.

The deal

The two companies have worked together on various projects for the past year, and Terryberry Managing Partner Mike Byam said it became “increasingly clear” that they complemented each other.

"The opportunity to combine forces and expand our customer offerings to deepen those relationships for an even greater impact is compelling for everyone involved," Byam said.

Terryberry will absorb seven Kelleher employees who will continue to work out of their Ann Arbor office, and Mike Kelleher will serve as division director of Terryberry Kelleher.

The ongoing partnership between Terryberry and Kelleher recently resulted in the development of Honoring Performance, a new program in Terryberry’s employee recognition portfolio.

Honoring Performance brings new leaderboard insights, communication tools and program development services to Terryberry’s portfolio.

Founded in 1918, Terryberry employs 175 people at its local headquarters and about 240 associates worldwide.

With the acquisition of Kelleher Enterprises, Terryberry now has about 25,500 clients throughout North America and Europe.
