Cascade Engineering business unit names president
A business unit of Grand Rapids-based Cascade Engineering has named a new president.
CK Technologies, or CKT, a thermoplastics supplier to the commercial truck and bus industries in Montpelier, Ohio, has promoted Tony Kramer to president.
The company supplies injection-molded plastic parts and assemblies, such as bumpers, grilles, roof fairings and chassis skirts. It is one of Cascade Engineering’s nine business units.
Kramer replaces Christina Keller, who will be relocating to Grand Rapids as president of the Cascade Business team.
He will report to Mark Miller, president and CEO of the Cascade Engineering family of companies.
Kramer will be responsible for leading the manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, human resources and finance teams at CKT.
Kramer joined CKT in 2007, as an account manager, overseeing one of CKT’s key accounts, Navistar. In 2009, he was promoted to commercial director, managing CKT’s account management team and eventually led program management and cost estimating. He was then promoted to VP of commercial in 2013 and COO in 2016.
Kramer has 20 years of experience in the plastics industry, serving as a product manager, plant manager, sales and marketing manager and general manager in various specialties, including custom rotational molding, vacuum forming and injection molding.
His industry experience includes automotive, recreational, marine, agricultural, industrial, packaging, medical and highway safety applications.
