The Right Place wins international awards
A local economic development nonprofit recently received a pair of awards from the industry’s largest international membership organization.
The International Economic Development Council awarded Grand Rapids-based The Right Place Inc. with a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for its RPI Insider investor newsletter and a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award for its website, rightplace.org.
IEDC 2016 board chair Barry Matherly said The Right Place’s participation in the awards program “sheds light on their stellar projects which other communities can now use a benchmark.”
The IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize the world’s top economic development programs and partnerships, marketing materials and most influential leaders.
The RPI Insider received a Gold award from the IEDC as the top newsletter. The RPI Insider is a quarterly update to investors, stakeholders and strategic partners highlighting projects and initiatives with which the organization is involved.
The Right Place’s website, redesigned and launched in 2015, was awarded a Bronze award. The website has seen a 331 percent increase in traffic over the past two years and was developed in partnership with Grand Rapids’ Mighty in the Midwest.
