Medical office grows out of space
A health care office in the region has turned the corner.
Metro Health’s Heart and Vascular office in Holland has moved to a larger space, at 904 Washington Ave., just around the corner from its previous location.
The new office is 1,231 square feet, which is more than five times the size of the 232 square feet available at its previous office, a shared space with another practice.
The original office was opened in February 2014.
The new location allows Metro Health’s office room for growth and to remain open for more days.
Holland specialty office
Dr. Rony Gorges is the head physician of the system's Heart and Vascular practice.
The Holland office offers cardiovascular appointments and diagnostic testing for cardiovascular disease, including peripheral arterial disease, or PAD. Metro Health Hospital has developed a recognized specialty in treating PAD.
The Holland office is one of five Metro Health Heart and Vascular satellite offices.
Metro Health President and CEO Mike Faas said the opening of satellite offices on the lakeshore was a patient-driven decision designed to make it easy to receive care.
“Whenever possible, we want patients to have choice in where they are seen,” Faas said.
