Credit union relocating branch
A local credit union is moving one of its branches across the street.
Grand Rapids-based Adventure Credit Union is relocating its Gaines Township Branch, at 6750 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, to a 2,800-square-foot building it's constructing at 6672 Crossings Dr. SE.
The credit union officially broke ground on the new branch last week. The project is expected to be completed next spring.
The new branch will be slightly larger than the current location and provide additional services and easy street access, according Karen Wietzke, EVP, Adventure Credit Union.
The single-story building with parking will be visible from the street and feature a building design that’s in line with the credit union’s recent rebranding and drive-thru services, including an ATM and interactive teller machine, an ATM that uses video technology to connect customers with a live teller.
Inside the branch will be an additional ITM, a self-serve kiosk, digital displays and in-person financial services.
“As one of the fastest growing credit unions in the state, Adventure is continuously looking for innovative ways to create a positive member experience,” said Steve Bush, president and CEO, Adventure Credit Union. “We are excited to utilize the latest technologies in the industry at our newly expanded location in the Kentwood M-6 corridor.”
