Bank names manufacturing exec to board
A bank in the region has appointed a local business leader to its board of directors.
Christina Keller, president of the Cascade Business Team at Grand Rapids-based Cascade Engineering, has been appointed to the board of Independent Bank, as well as to the board of its parent company, Independent Bank Corporation.
Keller becomes the 10th member of the board, and she'll run for re-election in April of 2018.
“Her experience and leadership roles with a West Michigan-based global manufacturing enterprise, as well as her strong educational background make her an important addition to our organization,” said William “Brad” Kessel, president and CEO, Independent Bank Corporation.
Keller said she’s “honored and excited” to join the board.
“The company has a strong dedication to the communities it serves,” she said. “I look forward to working with such a talented and committed board and management team.”
Keller has served as president of Cascade Business Team, comprising four of Cascade Engineering’s nine business units, since August.
She joined Cascade Engineering in 2009 after working as a consultant in New York and Washington D.C.
Keller also serves on the board of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation and is involved with Grand Angels, the Young President’s Organization and Family Business Alliance.
Keller holds a B.A. in international studies from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
She also holds a Master Black Belt Certificate in Lean Six Sigma from Villanova University.
