Tech company ranks among Deloitte 'Fast 500'

A manufacturer in the area is among the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America.

Byron Center-based Pro-Vision Video Systems, a maker of mobile video systems, ranks No. 362 in the “Technology Fast 500” ranking by the accounting and financial advisory firm Deloitte.

Pro-Vision grew 196 percent, according to information provided for Deloitte’s ranking, which looks at the growth in revenue from 2012-2015.

Founded in 2003, Pro-Vision has ranked in the Inc. 5000 of the fastest-growing private businesses six straight years.

The company makes rear-vision video hardware and software for law, transit and commercial applications.

Other Michigan companies

Three other Michigan companies made Deloitte’s “Technology Fast 500” ranking.

Michigan’s highest-ranked tech company is SoftPath Technologies, at No. 291, a Livonia-based software company that grew 258 percent.

Ann Arbor software company LLamasoft is No. 459, with a growth rate of 132 percent.

Southfield-based communications firm Nexcess Net grew 145 percent, placing them at No. 439.

Top 5

The fastest-growing tech company is Loot Crate, a Los Angeles digital content company, which grew 66,661 percent.

Two other digital content companies are in the top five, including New York-based Yieldbot – 29,783 percent – and Irvine, Calif.-based — 16,547 percent.

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals from Cambridge, Mass., a biotech company, ranks No. 3 and grew 21,291 percent.

Software company BounceX from New York ranks No. 5, growing 14,575 percent.

In the past, Deloitte’s “Technology 500” ranking has included companies such as Facebook, Tesla Motors and Fitbit.
