A local firm has built out two new office suites for a health system.

Grand Rapids-based First Companies said last month it completed the projects at a 42,000-square-foot building in Grand Rapids, at 2144 E. Paris Ave. SE.

The suites are being occupied by Mercy Health Physician Partners and Mercy Health Lab & X-ray.

Grand Rapids-based Custer provided the interior design work and installation.

Construction started on the suites in July and was finished in November.

The cost of each project was not disclosed.

The building is owned by a group of unnamed investors. It was finished last summer by First Companies, which also manages the property.

The Lab & X-ray space is 1,500 square feet on the main level of the building and used by Mercy Health and other local doctors.

The internal medicine office is 9,000 square feet and houses five doctors and two nurse practitioners.

“Years ago, Mercy Health had an office in Cascade,” said Daneen Caro, COO, Mercy Health Physician Partners. “This new office is our re-entry into this market.”

The two suites join Foot & Ankle Specialists of West Michigan, Oral Surgery Associates, Total Health Chiropractic and West Michigan Eyecare Associates as tenants in the building and surrounding area.

“We are committed to delivering the best environments for medical care providers to ensure the highest quality care for their patients,” said Jeff Baker, CEO, First Companies.
