LaughFest names headliner for Signature Event
A local comedy festival’s Signature Event fundraiser will be headlined by a long-time producer, talent judge, game show host, talk show host and comedian.
Gilda’s LaughFest said today it will host Howie Mandel for the event on March 14 at DeVos Place.
Mandel has more than 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He is the executive producer of NBC’s “Take It All” and “Howie Do It,” TBS’s “Deal with It” and FOX’s “Mobbed.”
He also serves as a judge on NBC’s summer series “America’s Got Talent.”
Mandel received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for “Deal or No Deal.” He has also done comedy specials on talk shows, hosted “The Howie Mandel Show” and continues to perform more than 200 comedy shows a year.
“Mandel’s versatile career has encompassed virtually all aspects of the entertainment spectrum, and we are excited to have such an industry leader headline the 2017 Signature Event,” said Joanne Roehm, director of strategic initiatives and festival director, LaughFest.
Table sponsorships are available for $3,000 for tables of 10. Individual tickets, which include dinner and a tax-deductible gift to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, are available starting Jan. 27 for $250. Show-only tickets are available for $100.
Signature Event tickets are available online or by calling 616-735-4242.
