Real estate firm expands into Lansing market
A West Michigan commercial real estate firm has expanded into the Lansing market.
Colliers West Michigan said today it opened an East Lansing office, at 246 E. Saginaw St.
The office will serve clients in various markets: investment, office, industrial, retail, multi-family and corporate. The firm also expects to offer real estate management services through the office as well.
Long-time Lansing real estate advisor Jerome Abood was the first hire in Colliers’ expansion.
Abood will be backed by Colliers West Michigan research, marketing and executive teams based in Grand Rapids.
“There are a lot of opportunities in Lansing,” Abood said. “And I am looking forward to becoming a part of the expansion and growth of the Colliers brand in the local community, with the Colliers team behind me.”
Colliers West Michigan also has an office in Holland, and the Colliers brand operates offices in Detroit and Ann Arbor.
Abood has more than two decades of real estate experience and has owned API Commercial since 1996.
He’s previously worked with Signature Associates and CBRE.
Abood has a finance degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
“Jerome is a great asset for our expansion efforts in the Lansing market, because of his unique skill set, invaluable experience and local connections,” said Jon Potvin, managing director, Colliers West Michigan. “Jerome is an influential leader in Lansing’s real estate market, and we are truly excited to have him on board.”
