A lithium-ion battery supplier is hosting a job fair this Thursday for up to 35 positions.

Holland-based LG Chem Michigan, Inc., or LGCMI, said today it will hold the job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at its site in Holland, at 1 LG Way.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in on-site interviews and brief tours.

Open positions include technical operators, starting at $13.50 an hour, production engineers and supervisors.

Applicants should come in business casual attire and bring a resume.

LGCMI makes lithium-ion polymer batteries for electric vehicle and energy storage applications.

The company continues to grow in response to increased demand for battery technology from the auto industry.

LGCMI makes battery cells and packs for the Chevy Volt and began production last November on battery packs for the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, recently awarded North American Utility Vehicle of the Year.

It is a wholly owned subsidiary of LG Chem, a South Korean company that has global operations focused on petrochemical products, IT, electronic materials and energy solutions.

LG Chem is part of the LG Group.
