A pizzeria chain featuring thin, Neapolitan-style pizzas has entered the West Michigan market.

Rise Pies opened yesterday at Tanger Outlets in Byron Center, at 350 84th St. SW.

The restaurant offers a selection of pizzas, as well as build-your-own pizza and salad menus. It also features Vernon’s meatballs.

This is the 14th location for Rise Pies and its second in Michigan. The first Michigan location opened in Auburn Hills.

Ed Muransky and his son, Eddie Muransky, opened the first Rise Pies in 2013 in Youngstown, Ohio, with the help of chef Vernon Cesta, of the Italian bistro Vernon’s Café in Niles, Ohio, who created the menu.
