Law firm producing Data Solutions Symposium
A local law firm will host a symposium next week on best practices for data usage in the workplace.
Warner Norcross & Judd has organized a half-day Data Solutions Symposium set for March 14 at the Grand Rapids Salvation Army Kroc Center, at 2500 S. Division Ave.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., the program begins at 8:45 a.m. and the event will end shortly after noon.
The agenda includes updates and best practices on data collection, cybersecurity, e-discovery, social media in the workplace, privacy and ransomware attacks.
“Within the next three years, we expect more than 50-billion devices will be connected to the internet,” said Jay Yelton III, a partner at Warner Norcross and co-chair of the data solutions practice. “How does a business manage that data so that it can best protect itself, along with its customers, employees and other stakeholders?
“Our Data Solutions Symposium will provide access to experts who can offer real-world answers.”
The event begins with a general session for all attendees, 2016: Recap and Lessons Learned.
Attendees may then choose from one of three sessions in two tracks: e-discovery and information governance; and cybersecurity and privacy issues.
The half-day program counts toward continuing legal education credits for the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Registration is $75. To sign up, visit Warner Norcross online.
