Association names Best and Brightest Companies to Work For
A statewide association has named a group of the best workplaces in West Michigan.
The Michigan Business & Professional Association, or MBPA, has selected West Michigan’s 2017 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
An awards banquet will be held May 3 at JW Marriott Grand Rapids, at 235 Louis St. NW. The association will present the awards and name a group of “elite winners” at the event.
MBPA said its research team vets the winning companies through a three-step process, including a company survey and employee surveys. Employer survey data and employee survey data are scored, weighted and ranked. MBPA then further evaluates the top 15 percent of scored companies to determine overall winners.
The association chose winning companies based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.
All participating companies will receive a complimentary assessment report and other benefits throughout the year.
The selection process was designed and audited by the Illinois Institute of Technology’s market research division, and surveys were scored by Inquisium, a market research firm based in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The criteria are determined annually based on market conditions and trends.
People can register to attend the awards banquet online.
Individual tickets cost $175, a table of 10 is $1,750 and a table sponsorship costs $2,000.
The Michigan Business & Professional Association leverages statewide programs and community initiatives that affect more than 150,000 businesses.
MBPA’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For program provides the business community with the opportunity to gain recognition, showcase their best practices and demonstrate why they're an ideal place for employees to work.
