Frozen custard and steakburger chain opens location
A restaurant franchise opened its second location in Grand Rapids today.
The new location for Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is at 25 Lake Michigan Dr. NW.
The first Freddy’s in West Michigan opened last year at 3777 Plainfield Ave. NE.
The new 3,300-square-foot restaurant will have room for 102 guests to dine on steakburgers, hot dogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard desserts.
The free-standing building also has a drive-thru.
“Our culture of hospitality sets us apart,” Freddy’s franchisee Joe Reber said. “Quality food that’s cooked to order is a plus, but it’s so much more enjoyable when the service is quality too. Freddy’s strives to provide both.”
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was founded in 2002 in Wichita, Kansas by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon.
There are now 250 Freddy’s locations across 30 states.
The company ranks No. 41 on Entrepreneur’s 2017 Franchise 500 list, Freddy’s fifth time on the ranking.
