Stryker Instruments plans to restructure and layoff an undisclosed number of employees.

Kalamazoo-based Stryker Instruments makes operating room products that it says “make surgery more efficient, reduce trauma and improve techniques.” It is a division of Kalamazoo-based Stryker.

Jenny Braga, senior communications manager at Stryker, provided the following statement today to the Business Journal.

“After a thoughtful evaluation, we have determined that organizational changes are needed to help drive efficiencies across our business, including limited reductions in our workforce.

"These changes will allow us to invest in important areas to build new capabilities that will help us keep growing in Kalamazoo and continue meeting the needs of our customers.”
