Experiential spaces firm hires director of creative services
A local fabricator of experiential spaces has named its new director of creative services.
Grand Rapids-based Xibitz said last month it hired Amy Shepard for the role.
Shepard will work with design firms, companies working on design-build projects and an internal design team.
“Amy’s ability to communicate and maintain an active pulse on the creative market allows us to provide our design partners and clients with a heightened experience, enhanced storytelling and more refined spaces,” said Ben Metzger, principal, Xibitz.
Shepard said “creating branded environments” is her “favorite aspect” of her career.
Most recently, Shepard owned and operated Venn Integration for five years.
Previously, she spent more than 10 years with Grand Rapids-based Designvox.
Xibitz was founded in 1988 and is led by Metzger and Jeremy Miller.
It specializes in experiential environments for health care, higher education, sports and welcome centers.
Xibitz said it recently completed spaces for the Airbus Experience Center, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and Rubbermaid Design Center.
