Label maker appoints VP of operations
A local custom label maker has named its new vice president of operations.
Grand Rapids Label said this spring it promoted John Crosby, who was VP of sales and marketing since 2007, to the role.
The company has hired Bill Bergstrom to fill his former position.
In his new role, Crosby is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, including on-time performance, quality, efficiency and safety of the company’s manufacturing.
Grand Rapids Label is gearing up for continued growth of its customer base in the durable label market, necessitating the expansion of its leadership team.
“I love a good challenge, and I believe our ability to solve what may seem like an impossible task has truly set us apart in the industry,” Crosby said. “The future is extremely bright at Grand Rapids Label.”
Crosby has been with Grand Rapids Label since 1995, also serving as a sales engineer for more than 12 years.
Previously, Crosby was a manufacturing engineer with The Boeing Company for nearly seven years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from U-M’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
