Holding company hires chief people officer
A holding company in the region has named its new chief people officer.
Holland-based Coastal Group said last month it hired Sean Dwyer to serve in the new role.
The company hired Dwyer to support “growth plans” for its portfolio companies: Coastal Container, a packaging solutions provider, and Coastal Automotive, a tier-one global automotive company.
Coastal Automotive opened a new facility in Holland last summer, and the company has additional plans to add capacity in Mexico, Europe and Asia.
He will contribute to corporate growth strategy and governance in the role and is responsible for human capital leadership and organizational development within Coastal Container and Coastal Automotive.
Dwyer will support Coastal’s growth plans with talent management and employee development strategies that “cultivate high-performing cultures and talent-dense workforces.”
Dwyer said he’s “honored” to be part of the Coastal team and “accelerate business performance through great people and thoughtful processes.”
Dwyer brings 21 years of senior level human resource experience and 10 years of executive level experience in private equity-backed manufacturing businesses to his new position.
He holds a bachelor's degree in business from Arizona State University and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University, as well as a senior professional in HR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.
