A local health insurer has promoted from within to fill the role of chief marketing and digital officer.

Grand Rapids-based Priority Health, a part of Spectrum Health, said last month it appointed Krischa Winright to the position.

Most recently, Winright held a dual role as chief information officer at Priority Health and SVP of information services at Spectrum Health.

Winright will continue to oversee information services for Priority Health and IS digital development for Spectrum and add the responsibility of marketing for Priority Health.

Winright said her expanded role combines "two worlds," marketing and information services, and allows the insurer to "continue to transform how we interact with our members.”

Winright has been with the Priority Health leadership team since 1999 and helped develop and implement some of the insurer's flagship customer tools, such as MyHealth, its cost estimator, agent quoting, enrollment tools and other e-commerce platforms.

“Krischa brings outstanding leadership and a passion for the consumer experience that is clearly visible in the innovative development of the technology platforms and tools our members use every day,” Priority Health President and CEO Joan Budden said.

Winright’s areas of expertise include information technology and business applications, strategic and operational planning and leadership development, to name a few.

She holds a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from Calvin College and is a graduate of the Executive Institute Leadership Program at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
