Advertising company acquires firm
A Grand Rapids-based advertising company has acquired a local firm to strengthen its traditional and digital media capabilities.
Adtegrity said today it acquired East Grand Rapids-based Media Place Partners.
Media Place Partners will join Adtegrity in its new 20,000-square-foot office on the top two floors above New Holland Brewing’s The Knickerbocker on the West Side, at 408 Broadway Ave. NW.
The Business Journal reported in April on Adtegrity’s move to The Knickerbocker building from its downtown location, at 38 Commerce Ave. SW.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A spokesperson said no workers will be laid off as a result of the acquisition. Adtegrity is looking to hire an advertising operations executive and an account executive.
The companies said their deal creates one of the Midwest’s largest independent media planning and buying platforms.
Media Place Partners will continue to operate under its own brand post-acquisition and said customers can expect all the same services, plus greater digital media capabilities.
The deal will consolidate planning, reporting and communication resources, as well as collective ad spends across media. It will also allow for cross-platform advertising strategies between the two companies.
Scott Brew, Adtegrity CEO, said his company “could not be more excited” about the deal.
“(The acquisition will) help us execute on our vision to deliver the kind of cross-medium strategies that will allow mid-market advertisers to focus on their audiences at the most personal and local levels and to then scale those strategies seamlessly to achieve their most macro-level goals,” Brew said.
Tracy Unger, Media Place Partners co-founder, said her firm shares Adtegrity’s focus on delivering content to local audiences.
“We look forward to essentially copying and pasting the combined power of our two companies into local media markets across the country for the benefit of current and future clients,” Unger said.
Founded in 1999, Adtegrity runs digital and traditional advertising campaigns for brands and agencies and says it delivers “local markets and audiences at scale.”
