Publisher will release ‘Full House’ star’s book this fall
A local publisher will release a lifestyle book by an actress, producer and New York Times-bestselling author this fall.
Zondervan, a Christian publisher in Grand Rapids, will release Candace Cameron Bure’s book “Staying Stylish: Cultivating a Confident Look, Style and Attitude” in hardcover and e-book formats on Nov. 7.
The book can be pre-ordered online.
Cameron Bure is most famous for her role as “D.J. Tanner” on the family sitcom “Full House” (1987-1995).
Her book will provide readers with tips, tricks and products she uses and offer insights on “inner beauty” and faith.
Bure’s style is a fusion of her Southern California roots coupled with the influences that came from growing up in the entertainment industry. She wrote “Staying Stylish” in part to answer inquiries she has received about her fashion sense over the years.
“(This book has) the tips and the tricks that I believe have worked best for me, especially in my 30s and now in my 40s, that women can look to if they’re just wanting some new ideas — or maybe to step out of their comfort zone,” she said.
Bure said she believes style should evolve over time as one’s personal tastes and lifestyle needs change.
“Personal style is all about expressing who you are,” she said. “It’s about looking within yourself and finding the things you want to tell the world about yourself. It’s about embracing your inner beauty and showing that off. It’s about being silly, being serious, being bold, being happy, being whole — being you. The absolute best way to stay stylish is to stay true to you.”
Born in 1976, Cameron Bure came from an acting family (brother Kirk Cameron starred in “Growing Pains”) and was cast in “Full House” when she was just 11.
In adulthood, she has appeared on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” “The View” and in various films, in addition to the 2016 reboot “Fuller House.” She also is an inspirational speaker.
