Business Journal names 40 Under 40 class
The Grand Rapids Business Journal will honor 40 of the region’s top young professionals this month.
The publication’s annual 40 Under 40 party will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
Each year, the awards recognize individuals making a difference in West Michigan through their business successes, entrepreneurial leadership and community service.
The keynote speaker at this year’s event will be 40 Under 40 Distinguished Alumnus Tami VandenBerg, co-owner of The Pyramid Scheme and The Meanwhile bars and executive director of Well House, a nonprofit fighting homelessness. VandenBerg was a member of GRBJ’s 40 Under 40 classes of 2009 through 2014.
The event will feature food, drinks and a musical performance by the Michigan-based Beatles tribute band Shout!
General admission tickets to the 21-and-older event are $40. Group general admission, for four or more people, is $30 per person. A block of seven seats can be reserved for $300. Honorees get in free.
Tickets are available online.
